Ideally situated, there are several natural and touristic sites to discover within the radius of 30 km of the gîte:
- Definitely worth a visit: the Coranche Caves(Tuf waterfalls, undergrounad lake…)
- Hiking: the gîte is an important stage of the hiking trail of GTV of GR9 and the Tour des Coulmes.
- Climbing route in the cirque of Choranche and the cliffs of Presles.
- Speleology: Gournier cave and its underground river
- Cyclotourism: bicycle touring from the gîte (Col de la Machine, Combe Laval…)
- Fishing first category in the vicinity: trout, grayling …
- Or simply swimming and relaxing in the garden
Further away you can also discover other local touristic sites:
- The famous suspended houses of Pont en Royans
- Impressive roads of Vercors (gorges de la Bourne, Combe Laval…)
- Museum of the Prehistory of the Vercors and Museum of the Resistance in the Vercors in Vassieux-en-vercors
- The petrifying fountains garden
- Saint-Nazaire-en-Royans and its aqueduct and cruise
- Saint Antoine l’Abbaye and its medieval village
Practice other outdoor sports activities:
- Hiking futher afield (1 hour and 30 minutes by car): Réserve des Hauts Plateaux with the highest peak of Vercors (Grand Veymont 2341m), plateau d’Ambel, Fond d’Urle…
- Canyoning (Les Ecouages) with the Bureau des Moniteurs du Vercors
- Equestrian activites, donkeys, ponies, horses
- Hiking and nature walks with les Accompagnateurs Nature et Patrimoine
You can participate in local life and enjoy cultural and heritage activities:
- Visit the Water Museum in Pont-en-Royans (music performance on Fridays)
- Beautiful media library also in Pont-en-Royans
- Jazz every saturday in Presles
- Carmes Convent Beauvoir-en-Royans, its museum and baroque concerts
- Lake and outdoor leisure park of Marandan
- Swimming pool at Saint Jean-en-Royans or the water park at Villard de Lans
- The Guinguette du Pêcheur in Echevis (relaxation and trout fishing)
- Local products : La Ferme du Clos (Chatelus), La Cave Noisel (Saint Jean-en-Royans), Jacopain (Saint Thomas-en-Royans)
